Noro Yarn
Knitting with Noro yarns can help you feel more connected to nature. The raw materials are cleaned by hand to remove impurities, without the use of chemicals. Noro works to capture nature's true colours in their yarns. By blending colours, Noro creates yarns that feel more natural, with tones that evoke oceans, mountains, flowers, trees, and more.
All the animal fibres in Noro yarns come from certified organic farms around the world, including places like Australia, the Falkland Islands, and South Africa. Eisaku Noro is directly involved in every step of production. He visits farms, inspects machinery, and ensures the dyeing process remains as eco-friendly as possible. He explains, "Friction, rubbing, and heat during processing weaken the fibres in direct proportion to the length of time they are processed. By dramatically shortening this process, we are preventing damage to the enzymes in the fibres and simultaneously benefiting the environment."
