We use reliable Royal Mail Tracked 48 (UK) and Royal Mail International Tracked services, with our high-quality, eco-friendly packaging. Royal Mail collects from us Monday to Friday only — there are no weekend pick-ups.

UK Shipping: Royal Mail Tracked 48

  • Fully tracked from collection to delivery address.
  • SMS and email notifications for updates and estimated arrival.
  • Change delivery preferences (e.g., safe place, neighbour) before first attempt.
  • Aims to deliver in 2–3 working days, including Saturdays in many areas and a Sunday delivery service may be available in larger cities.
  • Delivery times are estimates only, they are not guaranteed, as with all carriers.

International Shipping: Royal Mail International Tracked

  • Fully tracked end-to-end with online delivery confirmation.
  • Europe: Aims for 3–5 working days (often 3–4 to key countries like France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands).
  • Rest of the World: Aims for 5–7 working days.
  • Tracking may show "We're expecting it" or "Sender preparing item" initially — this is normal. Detailed updates appear once the package reaches the Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre (LANGLEY HWDC).

Shipping to Europe – Delivered Duties Paid (DDP)

We ship to many European countries, including Austria, Cyprus, France, Germany, Republic of Ireland, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, and more (we're expanding as Royal Mail adds options). Good news: We collect all applicable VAT, duties, and customs fees at checkout — so no extra charges on arrival. The price you see is your final cost, with no customs surprises.

Shipping to the USA – Delivered Duties Paid (DDP)

The US removed its $800 duty-free threshold on August 29, 2025 — all imports now face customs duties based on value and country of origin (where goods are made). Good news for you: Most Needle Store items qualify for modest duties only. We handle DDP where available, collecting any fees upfront at checkout for a smoother delivery. Shipping to Northern Ireland

Under the Windsor Framework rules, Royal Mail requires details like order weight, contents, and contact info. We provide a simple product description for each item. This ensures smooth delivery within the UK Internal Market. Click here for more information on the Windsor Framework.

Shipping to the Rest of the World

We ship globally, if your country doesn't show at checkout, email contact.us@theneedlestore.com. Special notes:

  • South Korea: Requires a personal customs code (enter at checkout).
  • UAE: Delivery only to P.O. Boxes.

For non-DDP destinations, prices exclude UK VAT (deducted for overseas orders). You may face local taxes, duties, or clearance fees paid to your carrier on arrival. we are not responsible for these. If refused, we refund the order value (minus postage) on return, but any extra return shipping costs are deducted.

Multiple Shipments

Large or multi-item orders may ship in separate packages (each with its own tracking). We'll confirm via your shipping email.
