Noro Akeboshi

Noro Akeboshi is a luxurious 85% Wool and 15% Silk yarn. Named for the Japanese morning star (明け星), it is spun to capture the gradient of a dawn sky with the sparkle of stars. The fibre is processed in Japan with Noro’s characteristic light touch, celebrating sustainability, the natural character of the fleece, and the dedicated makers who keep the yarn close to nature.

The wool gives warmth, bounce and resilience. The silk adds a soft sheen and drape. Together they produce a springy hand, beautiful stitch definition and a gentle halo. Colour moves slowly across the skein in Noro’s long, painterly transitions, so every project has movement without losing structure.
