New Arrivals | The Needle Store

We launched The Needle Store back in June 2020, and we've been progressively adding stock to the store since then. So, I thought it a great opportunity to let you know what we've been up to, what we've been adding and what's coming soon.

Just before I do that, I want to give a big thank you to you for supporting us, if it weren't for you, there wouldn't be a Needle Store. Our continuing commitment to you is to provide excellent products at competitive prices, as well as great customer service - that's really central to everything we do at The Needle Store. If you like our service and products, please do share on Facebook - we love to see what you've made and what you think.

It's definitely been a hectic few months, and one of the unfortunate casualties of being busy has been, ironically, my knitting. It's been sparse, and a bit random and I need to pick up the needles and get going again. I'll also try and share what I'm up to on Instagram. I've not been very good at updating it, so a New Year's resolution is definitely more Instagramming. Follow me if you haven't already, and I'll do my best to get with the programme and update it! Follow us on Facebook as well, that I do update regularly and it's a good place to find all of the recent store updates in the one place.

We're expecting loads of new and exciting products from LYKKE including their new Blush interchangeable needle sets in February 2021. Blush is striking hot pink, and it's a great addition to the already popular range of Driftwood, Indigo and Umber needles and sets. Not only do we get a new colour, but we also get a choice of two new cases; Fuchsia Denim or Magenta Basketweave. All four sets are now available to pre-order on The Needle Store. There's limited availability, so if you're interested, I'd grab yours while you can!

As we all know, chunky knits are big at the moment, and we expect that to stay. LYKKE, recognising that popularity, is launching LYKKE Big, their super chunky fixed circular needles. They'll be available in 15mm, 19mm, 25mm, 30mm and 35mm needle sizes and are 36" in length from tip to tip.  They're also available to pre-order on The Needle Store, and we expect to see those in stock in January 2021.

I've been wondering whether LYKKE would venture into ball winders and swifts and I was very pleasantly surprised to see LYKKE introduce both.  Not only do we get both, but we also get a choice of Indian Rosewood, or the lighter Mango Wood. These are definitely going to be a real treat to own, and we're really looking forward to seeing those arrive in stock in January 2021. We're taking pre-orders on The Needle Store, and as expected, they're proving very popular.

We'll also see in 2021:

So, loads to look forward to from our friends at LYKKE. As soon as products come online, I'll be sure to update our Facebook page to let you know.

Clover - NEW to The Needle Store

I'm a big fan of accessories and Clover is one of those great suppliers that produce an extensive range that is designed to make our lives a little easier. We stock all of Clover's knitting accessories, as well as their full range of Bamboo DPNs and Single Pointed Needles. Clover's products are made in Osaka, Japan, and Japanese quality is evident when you buy anything from Clover.

Addi - NEW to The Needle Store

As a family company, Addi has been manufacturing knitting needles and crochet hooks for an amazing 191 years in the German town of Altena. One of the many reasons I rate Addi so highly is their ability to think out of the box and come up with some pretty innovative and creative products. I'm super happy to have these guys on board!

We sell the complete range of Addi's single-pointed needles; including Novel, their ergonomic knitting needles designed for those with sensory issues with hands or fingers. We also sell their CrasyTrio flexible DPNs that are a great alternative to using five regular DPNs. They take a bit of time to use to, but once you've got it, you've got it. We have an instructional video online from Skacel, Addi's US partner if you need some guidance. FYI - they're called FlexiFlips for the US market.

2021 is definitely going to be busy as we'll be adding Addi's very popular fixed circular needles in all sizes and lengths, SockWonders as well adding AddiClick, their range of interchangeable needles and cords; including the sets.
There's plenty to look forward to and I look forward to your company as we continue our journey. Remember to follow us on Facebook and we'll keep you updated with all new products that come online as soon as it happens.

Any suggestions, likes, wants, don't likes; we're all ears. Please feel free to contact us.
