Shipping to the USA from The Needle Store
New U.S. customs rules became effective on August 29, 2025, and we want to reassure you that ordering from The Needle Store will remain largely the same.
Here's what you need to know:

The U.S. has removed the $800 duty-free threshold for imports. All goods shipped to the USA will incur customs duties based on their value and country of origin (where they're made, not shipped from).
- The good news is most of the products we sell will see a modest increase in cost and will be clearly displayed during the checkout process.
- Unfortunately there will be some products that will increase in price considerably.
- Please note that tariff rates can change with little notice.
What have we done at The Needle Store to address the change?
We now use Royal Mail's Postal Delivery Duties Paid (PDDP) service.
- Same excellent service: You'll still enjoy the familiar tracked postal service with the same labelling and tracking.

Royal Mail calculates and pays duties to U.S. Customs on your behalf. We'll add the cost to your order automatically. There's nothing for you to do.
What does this mean for you?
- There will be a modest cost increase for most products.
