Juniper Moon Farm Rosanna Bonnet Knitting Pattern
A knitted bonnet with chin ties and a plump pompom - equal parts folk charm and winter practicality. Designed by Gayle Bunn for The Cozy Haven Collection, Rosanna is worked in one piece in Juniper Moon Farm Rambouillet, beginning at the right tie, working across the hat, and finishing with the left tie. A centre-back seam closes the crown.
Shown in Rambouillet Fandango, a vivid magenta. The fabric is a bobble pattern so the surface is springy and warm without feeling stiff. Ties measure about 33cm (13") when slightly stretched.
Finished width: 50cm (20"). Length from centre back seam: 30.5cm (12"). One size.
The pattern includes written instructions, a stitch glossary and full-colour photography. You will need 1 × 100g skein of Juniper Moon Farm Rambouillet, 4mm (US 6) knitting needles or size to obtain gauge, and stitch markers. A short length of leftover yarn and a 10cm (4") piece of cardboard make the pompom, or of course your favourite pompom maker.
Gauge: 23 stitches and 38 rows = 10cm (4") over bobble pattern using 4mm (US 6) needles.
A quick, characterful knit for anyone who likes a hat that actually stays on in the wind!
The pattern is a digital PDF; we'll email you the download link right after purchase.
