Mae Vest Knitting Pattern by Julie Powell for Juniper Moon Farm.

A short pullover vest with a deep folded cowl collar. Designed by Julie Powell, Mae is worked in pieces from the bottom up in Juniper Moon Farm Rambouillet Air. Front, back and armhole edges sit in reverse stockinette; a 12-stitch horseshoe cable runs up the centre front.

The pattern image is knitted in Cabernet. Finished bust: 101.5–152.5cm (40–60"); length 52–58.5cm (20½–23"). To fit bust 81.5–132cm (32–52") with about 20.5cm (8") of positive ease.

The pattern includes written instructions, a horseshoe-cable chart, abbreviations and a schematic. You will need 8mm (US 11) needles for the body, 5.5mm (US 9) for hem and cuffs and 5.5mm (US 9) 40cm (16") circular needle for the collar, plus a cable needle, markers and stitch holders. 

Gauge: 8 stitches and 14 rows = 10cm (4") in reverse stockinette on 8mm (US 11) after blocking.

A little cable, a lot of collar - quick to knit and easy to layer.
