A warm welcome to The Needle Store

Hi, all. As the owner of The Needle Store, I want to say a big thank you for visiting. It's been so much fun getting everything up and running over the last year. We're super happy to be selling, and concentrating our efforts on, gorgeous knitting needles and crochet hooks.

Why the Needle Store?

Well, for one fundamental reason. I'm a big knitting needle fan. Yes, I love yarn. I can't resist yarn when I stroll into a yarn shop. I don't think most of us can. However, I want a store to showcase needles, talk about needles, provide news about needles and focus on this part of the world of knitting and crocheting.

I've been knitting on and off (mainly on) for most of my life. My Nan taught me how to knit when I was around ten with her Aero straight knitting needles, and I've been hooked ever since. The excitement of having a ball of yarn and two pointy things and being able to create amazing things has never left me. I've always been fascinated with the pointy things, as well as the evolution of knitting over the years. It's gone from the very uncool, to cool, to un-cool, and back to cool! I hope to share that love for all things knitting with you through the store.

Why launch with LYKKE?

Pretty simple really. LYKKE is unquestionably one of my favourite brands. They look great, knit great, and they feel great. They're soft and warm to the touch and are honestly a joy to knit with. I always say they're in the middle of grippy bamboo needles and fast metal needles, right in the middle. You don't have to yank your yarn across the needles (I'm a bit of a tight knitter), and you're not trying to stop all your stitches fly off your needles at the speed of light. That makes them great for a beginner as well as the more experienced.

I'm so happy and incredibly proud to launch The Needle Store with LYKKE and to have the opportunity to share their knitting needles and crochet hooks with you. Knitting Fever has been incredibly supportive over the months, and I've appreciated their help and guidance.

We'll be looking to extend our adventure into knitting needles by adding further products over the coming months, so sign up to the newsletter within the store, and I'll let you know when that happens. So much to look forward too!

Very excited about this new store!! Will it just be online or will you have a physical store when we are allowed out properly? I just get excited by being in a shop as much as I love the convenience of online x
