Clover Mfg Co, Ltd, Japan

Clover Logo

Clover's history dates all the way back to 1925 when it was founded by Toshio Okada at the age of 26 in Japan.

Clover's name originated when a young Toshio would study in the park and use clovers to bookmark his pages. When Toshio founded the company, he remembered the hard work and commitment it took to succeed in his studies and all the clovers stuck between the pages of his study books.

In 1948 Clover formally became the brand name. Clover began as a wholesale company of needles and handicraft accessories. Soon after, Clover became a large-scale manufacturer. With the use of state-of-the-art machinery, Clover captured the imagination of their engineers to create the beautiful tools we all know and love today. Clover's head-office, distribution centre and main manufacturing plant are all based in Osaka, Japan.

Clover offers a broad range of knitting tools and accessories that appeal to everyone from beginners to experts. The Needle Store proudly covers its full range of Takumi® double pointed and single pointed needles, all their crochet hooks, including sets, as well as a vast array of useful knitting and crochet accessories.
